20 hour/week focusing on 3rd grade – adults, specifically Wednesday evenings.

Shape Zion’s space and resources for people to learn about and explore their faith.

Equip congregation to walk alongside each other in faith learning and exploration.

Develop structures that allow ministries to flow through generations

In this role you will give young people from ten to mid-twenties framework and opportunity to learn about and explore their faith within their family structure; their Zion community; and their wider world of school, work and play. You will equip congregation members to assist and lead these programs and activities. Zion wants to value our birth to mid-twenties age members by supporting their faith life with ministries that see them where they are in life and walk alongside them. If you see faith formation, a commitment to Zion’s core convictions and mission, relational interactions, and engaging with youth and volunteers as exciting and part of your calling, this role is for you. Serving at Zion calls you to honor Zion’s core convictions and mission and for a basic understanding of Lutheran theology.

Specific Areas of Influence:

·       Wednesday evening faith formation

·       Special events: Day Camp, Old Fashioned Christmas, Fundraising, Rally Wednesday

·       Administer enrichment events – mission trips, youth gatherings, offsite experiences

·       Work with Faith Formation Team

·       Congregation communications

·       Development of middle school and high school youth small and large groups

·       Work with older youth and their families to develop intentional and periodic interactions

This position reports to the pastor for programmatic purposes and the church administrator for administrative and logistic purposes.

Requirements:

              Microsoft Office competency

              Basic understanding of Lutheran theology, Zion’s Core Convictions, and mission statement and willingness   to complete work from that foundation.

              High School diploma, core grammar and communication skills.

child care teachers & helpers needed

Kids of the Kingdom is looking for part-time help! We are looking for a Teacher qualified or Assistant Teacher qualified person from 2:30-5:30 pm, more hours available if wanted!
